A few weeks back, I was walking with my Father-in-law, and Brother-in-law at Huntington Beach,; otherwise known as Surf City". As the light set, I raced down to the under, and beachfront under the Pier. I patiently waited for the sun to set, and I was rewarded with this view!

The Huntington Beach Pier is a municipal pier located in Huntington Beach, California, at the west end of Main Street and west of Pacific Coast Highway. At 1,850 feet (560 m) in length, it is one of the longest public piers on the West Coast. (The longest is Oceanside Pier at 1,942 feet (592 m)). The pier is 100 feet (30 m) above sea level.

The Huntington Beach Pier is on the California Register of Historical Resources.[1] It is one of 123 historic places and districts listed on the Nat...

I ventured out West in the early 70's. After several trips to Northern Arizona with it's Majestic Skies, Red Rocks, and wide open spaces, I realized I wanted to settle here. Well, Fate came into the picture and numerous stops came along. I ventured to San Juan Islands, British Columbia, Oregon, Utah, Northern and Southern California, and even Southern Arizona. Yet , I felt unsettled looking for home to sink roots. Finally Sedona tugged hard , and I settled here in the mid 90's and rediscovered my sense of Gratitude and Enjoyment. Well I,m mostly retired now, traveling more, and have relocated in an old mining town in the Sierras; Time for change; new areas to explore.
