Description
One of my Favorites places to walk and photograph is Seal Beach in California. Summer sunsets can be breathtaking here. California. It has around 25 thousand permanent residents, but tons of people in the summer. The main street has something for everyone, with art galleries, ice cream, and treats, as well of lots of interesting people to check out. There are lots of little mom and pop shops as well! I love walking on the pier, and waiting for its wonderful sunsets on this old and long wooden pier, and beach front. The piers are protected from Mother Nature, and generally you can see mussels on the pier. Caution, they are not edible. Watching and playing in the waves can be real mesmerizing, almost zen like. It also is grand for those who like to boogie board. The ocean can also be real calming. There are great walks, on or off the beach. If you look north towards Long Beach on a clear day, you might catch the Queen Mary, and the white tent that houses the airplane built by Howard Hughes, The Spruce Goose. Many people fish here as well so be prepared for all sorts of anglers, and their catches. The pier is well used, old wooden planks, with kids, singles gabbing, families, babies, serene, just a perfect evening setting. There is lots of parking within 4 or 5 blocks, with music, surfing, colors, and fun times. There are lots of photo opps here, as there is something for everyone. This place is a hidden gem, amongst nearby Surf City. The breeze feels good on a warm summers evening, and the smell of ocean is breathtaking at times. It also can be quite romantic, especially at sunset.
