Another impressive winter capture of the Westfork Trail! Well worth the hike.

Artist's Description

Nestled in Oak Creek Canyon among the red rocks is Westfork Trail. After 2 days of snow, I traveled up the canyon, and 23 degrees to visit one of Sedona,s Gems. The first crossing was frozen over, so it was as far as I got, but I sure was rewarded for braving snow for a mile, and the cold. Ah, it doesn,t get better than this for this red rock guy.

I ventured out West in the early 70's. After several trips to Northern Arizona with it's Majestic Skies, Red Rocks, and wide open spaces, I realized I wanted to settle here. Well, Fate came into the picture and numerous stops came along. I ventured to San Juan Islands, British Columbia, Oregon, Utah, Northern and Southern California, and even Southern Arizona. Yet , I felt unsettled looking for home to sink roots. Finally Sedona tugged hard , and I settled here in the mid 90's and rediscovered my sense of Gratitude and Enjoyment. Well I,m mostly retired now, traveling more, and have relocated in an old mining town in the Sierras; Time for change; new areas to explore. In Nature, I find that feeling of Peacefulness and Stillness. I hope...
