A few weeks back, I journeyed to Monument Valley in Utah with dear friends. We took a wonderful tour with Ray Begay! One of our first stops was Mystery Valley. Mystery Valley is named after the many mystery's of the Ancestral Puebloan culture. The beauty here is incredible. The Nizhoni Monument Valley Tribal Park is 30,000 acres, and covers part of Arizona, as well as Utah!
I ventured out West in the early 70's. After several trips to Northern Arizona with it's Majestic Skies, Red Rocks, and wide open spaces, I realized I wanted to settle here. Well, Fate came into the picture and numerous stops came along. I ventured to San Juan Islands, British Columbia, Oregon, Utah, Northern and Southern California, and even Southern Arizona. Yet , I felt unsettled looking for home to sink roots. Finally Sedona tugged hard , and I settled here in the mid 90's and rediscovered my sense of Gratitude and Enjoyment. Well I,m mostly retired now, traveling more, and have relocated in an old mining town in the Sierras; Time for change; new areas to explore.
