This fireworks display was placed in a perfect setting. At the harbor of English Bay in Vancouver. The Honda Celebration of Light is an annual musical fireworks competition in Vancouver, Canada. The first one was held in 1990. Over a million people attend this multi day festival. English Bay is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Vancouver. This area is a favorite for outdoor activities like beachcombing, cycling, walking, running, jogging, and in-line skating. English Bay has incredible views of the mountains and skies. The beach is clean, and cold most of the year, and beautiful, and is situated on the northwest coast of downtown Vancouver. You can also see many ships, sailboats, and yachts in the harbor. This is a wonderful place to view sunset. There are tons of food and drink options a stones throw away. English Bay is just right around the corner from Stanley Park. Walking the beach or the seawall, it is very peaceful, fresh, and lovely!!! Do not forget your camera!

I ventured out West in the early 70's. After several trips to Northern Arizona with it's Majestic Skies, Red Rocks, and wide open spaces, I realized I wanted to settle here. Well, Fate came into the picture and numerous stops came along. I ventured to San Juan Islands, British Columbia, Oregon, Utah, Northern and Southern California, and even Southern Arizona. Yet , I felt unsettled looking for home to sink roots. Finally Sedona tugged hard , and I settled here in the mid 90's and rediscovered my sense of Gratitude and Enjoyment. Well I,m mostly retired now, traveling more, and have relocated in an old mining town in the Sierras; Time for change; new areas to explore.
