Artist's Description
Watson Lake, and its breathtaking Granite Stoneworks is a sight to see no matter the time of day, season, or what you use to ponder its beauty. Watson Lake is one of the 2 reservoirs that was formed in the early 1900s when a dam was built on Granite Creek.
The city of Prescott bought it in 1997 to preserve it, and use for recreation of all kinds!!
About Tom Kelly
I ventured out West in the early 70's. After several trips to Northern Arizona with it's Majestic Skies, Red Rocks, and wide open spaces, I realized I wanted to settle here. Well, Fate came into the picture and numerous stops came along. I ventured to San Juan Islands, British Columbia, Oregon, Utah, Northern and Southern California, and even Southern Arizona. Yet , I felt unsettled looking for home to sink roots. Finally Sedona tugged hard , and I settled here in the mid 90's and rediscovered my sense of Gratitude and Enjoyment. Well I,m mostly retired now, traveling more, and have relocated in an old mining town in the Sierras; Time for change; new areas to explore. In Nature, I find that feeling of Peacefulness and Stillness. I hope...
